Brokequeens: Objects of Desire

I've known the girls behind Brokequeens for some years now, and I follow their work, check new collections, crave for certain pieces... You know how it goes. These are the pieces I currently lust for...

Girls, if you are reading this, I stole the pics from your Facebook page. I hope you don't mind :) x

Emoona

Emoona is a new French fashion label, which creates very glamorous designs, emphasizing the strength but also the fragility expressed by women.

What I loved about the Emoona designs is this playful, sensual quality, teamed with a nostalgic and decadent feeling of past glamour. In order to bring out the unique in each woman, Emoona only creates a limited number of each design. All creations are numbered. I hope we will get to see more of this label in the future!

QooQoo

From Riga, Latvia comes a fashion brand led by a graphic designer, famous for designing and producing their own fabrics prints. QooQooFashion makes each garment to order.

The designs evoke dynamism, but also sensitivity, and they are in accordance with the current trends for geometry and bold color. What more could a girl ask for?

Fashion Trend 2010: Leather, Etsy Style

Leather is a very hot trend this season as well, so I have picked a few of my favorite Etsy items to highlight in this post... They are truly amazing finds, so sit back and enjoy!

Surely you noticed that a few of those items also combine other fashion 2010 trends, like lace or come in colors like white and grey. So think before you go to the mall or the high street...

Natural Chic Vs Anorexic Sick

I'm so tired of having to look at unhealthy, bony models with a sad expression on their faces, tragic dramatic styling and makeup, and sickly, distorted modelling postures. It happened again today, when I tried to read a fashion magazine. Yes, tried. Tired.

To feel better, I turned to Etsy and picked some of my favorites to present here, often modelled by the designers and makers themselves. The conclusions are all yours.

I just love how beautiful and confident those models look! These are clothes I would gladly buy for myself. Wouldn't you?
