Colores Nuevos y Días Claros

Andaba perdia de camino pa la casa
       cavilando en lo que soy
             y en lo que siento
                     pokito a poko entendiendo
que no vale la pena andar por andar
que´s mejor caminá pa ir creciendo

                                               Volvere a encontrame con vosotros
volvere a sonreir en la mañana
volvere con lagrima en los ojos
mirar al cielo y dar las gracias

Bohemian Like You Long Necklace with Buttons in Flower Colors

The new EST challenge theme is currently 'Spring Colour Trends' and is hosted by Eva, of creationsbyeve. You can see the relevant post here, and the entries here.

To take part in this challenge, I created a long colorful necklace, for which I used old and vintage buttons. The colors that are fashionable this spring are named after flowers, so I really enjoyed this theme. Thanks Eva!

Colorful Spring Shoes

Those of you who have read my Start Wearing Flats post will know that I am against high heels. And now is the time to prove my point even more, that you can be sexy and feminine without wearing high heels. Actually, I think mid heels are the best for looks, and I'm so happy they are trendy this spring (and I definitely do not agree with the writer of that article, that kitten heels are the ugly sister of the heels family! If they were, they wouldn't be the shoes women wore in the '50s and '60s, which epitomized elegance, grace and classic beauty). Combined with the current bold color trend, the following pairs are indeed some awesome finds!

Mardi Gras Carnival Inspired: Crocheted Wire Necklace with Reclaimed Beads

Today it's been raining in such a charming way... Very inspiring! So what better way to use some multi-colored semi-precious stone beads (chips actually), that had come off an old pair of summer sandals, than to create a crocheted wire necklace, also throwing in some black vintage czech glass beads?

This is the result:

I love how random and relaxed this necklace looks, with chips and faceted beads here and there adding a variety of texture, which looks so good with crocheted wire! I can almost feel the Carnival coming up...!

An Act Of Love

I was organising my supplies the other day, when I found out that I have quite a few beads that seem to have always been there... You know, the kind of beads that you may have found lying around, never really knowing where they came from.

I made this colorful OOAK bracelet using many of them, and they are so diverse: acrylic, wooden, glass, porcelain beads, I combined them all with a message charm that reads 'Would you please stop smoking?'. It's an act of love!

Interesting fact: This line actually comes from the film 'Lost In Translation'!
