Hot Heart, Cold Heart

I had friends over at home the night after New Year's and we watched The Holiday, again. I love this film, to me it shows that if you want good things to start happening to you, you have to start loving yourself first. So I dug up some salvaged hearts that I had in my stash, and some unwanted broken chain, and made those two pieces that you see here.

Something New for the New Year

My grandma says we should always buy something new for the new year, even a small thing. So I made these lovely pieces that combine gold and silver, basically raw brass and pewter, along with coral and peridot.

I wouldn't tell my grandma this, but only the chain in those is new... The rest of the components come from old and broken jewelry. But hey! If you get one of those necklaces, you get old and new in one! Cool!

Hearts In The Kitchen

A good friend of mine got married today, so I thought it would be a great idea to do this 'hearts in the kitchen' Etsy guide!

I was really amazed at all the wonderful items I found, and I can tell you that they would make anyone want to go to the kitchen and do some baking...!

First of all, don't you just want to eat all those?

And here's where you can bake!

But in order to make anything, really, you must have measuring spoons.

And if you want to make a cool, summer dessert, then these are ideal, and irresistibly cute!

And isn't this lovely decoration?

This is very useful, too:

How about these beauties?

Of course, an apron in the kitchen is a must!

And so is a colander.

Fancy a friend coming over to sit in the kitchen and chat with you?

A clock is necessary in the kitchen, and if it comes with storage space it is even better!

Who doesn't need baskets in the kitchen?

Snacks are always part of our lives, right?

Linen towels have a wonderful appeal...

Wow... I enjoyed this a lot! I think I might go and do some shopping for myself tomorrow... Have a great Sunday all!
